(This is an 08 day tour covering an exciting Wildlife Tour of World Heritage Site Kaziranga National Park, a thrilling cruise down the mighty river Brahmaputra, a cultural tour of Majuli-the largest river island in the world and a Tea Tour in the Tea Estate of Sangsua/Gatoonga)

Day 01 : Guwahati Airport-Kaziranga National Park (5hr):

Our tour manager will welcome you at Guwahati airport & transfer you to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the home to the endangered one horned rhinoceros ( 1855 rhinos as per 2006 census) . Besides, the park has several species of mammals and birds. The park has 70% of the world population of the Asiatic Water Buffalos & the Eastern Swamp Deer. The park was brought under the Project Tiger recently for special efforts to protect its near 100 Royal Bengal Tigers. Amongst birds, the park has 25 globally threatened bird species. Overnight at Bonhabi Resort/Jupuri Ghar or similar.


Day 02 : Kaziranga-Silghat (drive 2hr)-Biswanathghat (Cruise):

We shall start early in the morning for an elephant safari for 01 hr in the central range of the park. Later we have packed-breakfast & enter deep in the central range of the park in a jeep. Later we come back to hotel for check out. Afterwards, transfer to Silghat to embark on the Cruise vessel. Lunch on board. Sailing up to Biswanathghat. Overnight stay at downstream Biswanathghat.

Day 03 : Cruise:

Early morning visit Biswanath temple. Later cruising for the day. Overnight stay opposite to Kaziranga National Park.

Day 04 : Cruise:

Cruising for the day. Overnight stay near Numaligarh.

Day 05 : Cruise:
Arrive western part of Majuli Island in the late afternoon. Overnight at downstream Kamalabarighat.

Day 06 : Majuli Island-Sangsua/Gatoonga Tea Estate (3hr):

After breakfast, explore Majuli, the largest river island in the World. It is the centre of Assam’s famous Vaisnavite form of Hinduism. The religious and cultural traditions are kept alive by the dedicated monks living in monasteries locally known as Sattra. The Sattriya dance of this sect is the latest entry into India’s recognized classical dances. The monastery of Samaguri known as Samaguri Sattra is famous for the unique masks of Majuli which are used in Bhaona or religious plays.

We shall visit some monasteries & interact with the monks. In the afternoon cruise to Neematighat where your cruising will end. From Neematighat you will be transferred by road to Sangsua/Gatoonga Tea Estate near Jorhat.
On arrival check in at the heritage garden manager’s bungalow.

Day 07 : Sangsua/Gatoonga Tea Estate-Guwahati (06hr):

After breakfast, we shall start the tea tour—from plucking the leaves to the factory works.

Unlike many tea producing nations in the world, the Tea Gardens in Assam are big in size covering several hectares. Assam tea is known for its Black Teas-Orthodox and C.T.C.

Later after lunch transfer to Guwahati. Overnight at hotel Nakshatra/Pragati Manor.

Day 08 : Guwahati Airport Transfer:

Depending on your flight departure if we have time we shall do some shopping for Assam’s famous handloom & handicraft products & also for some famous Assam tea known for its strong liquor.

Later transfer to Guwahati airport for your flight on time.
