Day 01 : Guwahati Airport-Kaziranga National Park(05 hr):

Our tour manager will welcome you at Guwahati airport & transfer you to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the home to the endangered one horned rhinoceros ( 1855 rhinos as per 2006 census) . Besides, the park has several species of mammals and birds. The park has 70% of the world population of the Asiatic Water Buffalos & the Eastern Swamp Deer. The park was brought under the Project Tiger recently for special efforts to protect its near 100 Royal Bengal Tigers. Amongst birds, the park has 25 globally threatened bird species. Overnight at Bonhabi Resort/Jupuri Ghar or similar.


Day 02 : Kaziranga National Park-Sangsua/Gatoonga Tea Estate (02 hr):

Full day at Kaziranga National Park. We shall start early in the morning for an elephant safari for 01 hr in the central range of the park. Later we have packed-breakfast & enter the central range of the park in a jeep. Later we come back to hotel for lunch. Afterwards, in the afternoon we enter the park again in a jeep this time covering the western range of the park.

Later in the late afternoon, transfer to Sangsua/Gatoonga Tea Estate near Jorhat. On arrival check in at the heritage garden manager’s bungalow.

Day 03 : Sangsua/Gatoonga Tea Estate-Neematighat (01 hr):

After breakfast, we shall start the tea tour—from plucking the leaves to the factory works. Once the tour is over you are free at leisure enjoying the gardens till you drop!

Unlike many tea producing nations in the world, the Tea Gardens in Assam are big in size covering several hectares. Assam tea is known for its Black Teas--Orthodox and C.T.C.

Later in the late afternoon transfer to Neematighat where you will board the cruise vessel and overnight.

Day 04 : Neematighat-Majuli Island (90 min.):

Early in the morning sail to Majuli, the largest river island in the World. It is the centre of Assam’s famous Vaisnavite form of Hinduism. The religious and cultural traditions are kept alive by the dedicated monks living in monasteries locally known as Sattra. The Sattriya dance of this sect is the latest entry into India’s recognized classical dances. The monastery of Samaguri known as Samaguri Sattra is famous for the unique masks of Majuli which are used in Bhaona or religious plays.

We shall visit some monasteries & interact with the monks. Overnight stay on board at Kamalabarighat.

Day 05 : Cruise:

Cruising starts in the morning. Overnight stay on board opposite to Kaziranga National Park.

Day 06 : Cruise:

Sailing starts in the morning. Reach near Tezpur in the late afternoon. Overnight stay on board around Tezpur.

Day 07 : Cruise:

Sailing starts in the morning. Reach Ganeshpahar in the late afternoon. Overnight stay on board at Ganeshpahar.

Day 08 : Cruise-Guwahati Airport Transfer:

Reach Guwahati in the morning hours after a short cruise.

Depending on your flight departure if we have time we shall do some shopping for Assam’s famous handloom & handicraft products & also for some famous Assam tea known for its strong liquor.

Later transfer to Guwahati airport for your flight on time.
