Day 01: Dibrugarh:
Our tour manager will welcome you upon your
arrival at Dibrugarh airport in Eastern Assam. Dibrugarh is an important tea
belt in Assam. Overnight in a heritage tea garden bungalow. Rest of the day
free at leisure exploring the tea gardens.
Day 02: Dibrugarh - Pasighat
We take the ferry upstream on the mighty river
Brahmaputra to Oiramghat (7 hr). From there it is an hour’s drive to Pasighat,
the oldest town in Arunachal located on the plains. Overnight at hotel Oman
or similar.

Day 03: Pasighat - Jengging(189kms/ 07hrs).
Transfer to Jengging by taking the mountainous road starting just out of
Pasighat. The mesmerizing light greenish water of the river Siang flowing
several feet below the road is a great attraction. You can stop and try out
one famous cane suspension bridge of Arunachal out of many you get on the
way. Overnight at Circuit House/ Camps at Jengging.
Day 04: Jengging - Tuting(191 kms, 8hrs):
Transfer to Tuting. Don’t be surprised to see some tea plantations on the
way. From Tuting a few km down the road & about an hours’ trek from where
the road ends, you get this place called Gelling on the border of Tibet.
However tourists are not allowed to go beyond Tuting. Overnight in Govt. IB/
Camps.
Day 05: Tuting
We sort out gear followed by our expert’s comprehensive safety briefing
instruction sessions. We can also visit a Memba-Khamba village and their
monastery near by or have a lifetime experience of crossing the Siang in a
long cane suspension bridge. Overnight in Govt. IB/ Camps.
Day 06: Tuting – Pango: RAFT:
We negotiate Class IV rapid at Ninguing , Class III rapid at Palsi to reach
Pango. Overnight in Camps at Pango.
Day 07: Pango - Rikor: RAFT:
We negotiate the Pango rapid and continue to Rikor village. Overnight in
Camps close to the village.
Day 08: Rikor - Bomdo: RAFT:
We negotiate Class IV at Rikor followed by the Zebra Rock rapid following a
few kilometer downstream and a bend. After several rapids we get a 3
kilometer float till we reach Bomdo. Overnight in Camps.
Day 09: Bomdo - Yinkeong: RAFT:
We start with the huge rapids, followed by milder ones all the way till the
suspension bridge at Yinkeong. Overall a short day on the river. Overnight
in Camps.
Day 10: Yinkeong - Geku: RAFT:
We start this day with a long technical rapid and lots of smaller rapids. By
noon time we shall encounter the biggest rapid on the trip at Karko. The
environs of this rapid carry on till Geku. Overnight in Camps.
Day 11: Geku - Panging: RAFT:
We leave Geku, a long floating session followed by a big rapid. Later an
easy day with long floats. We pass several Adi Tribal villages on the way.
We reach the confluence of the Siang river with the Siyom river after the
suspension bridge at Boleng. Finally we reach Panging by late afternoon.
Overnight in Camps.
Day 12: Panging – Yembung : RAFT:
We have a short day on the river with a big rapid at Panging village. Reach
Yembung. Visit the villages. Overnight in Camps.
Day 13: Yembung – Pasighat : RAFT:
We negotiate the last biggie at Poning on our final run to the plains at
Pasighat. Overnight at hotel Oman or similar.
Day 14: Pasighat – Dibrugarh:
We take a short drive early in the morning to catch the motorized boat at
Oiramghat which will ferry us downstream to Dibrugarh in about 5 hours.
Overnight at a heritage tea garden bungalow.
Day 15: Dibrugarh airport transfer:
Transfer to Dibrugarh airport on time for your
departure flight.
