your day with a strong cup of the magical refreshing drink
called 'Tea'. Chances are- this may be Assam tea! Some of you
drink Assam tea regularly, some of you have drunk Assam tea at
least once.. Most of you know Assam or Assam tea or heard about
it. Still, Assam is one of the least visited areas in India.
Assam is one of
the largest tea producing regions in the world having a share
of 20% of the total world production. There are over 2000 lush
green gardens in Assam covering several sq km. Assam tea is
characterised by its strong liquor. Tocklai Tea Research Centre
near Jorhat is the oldest of its kind in the world. Also
Guwahati Tea Auction Centre is the largest CTC Tea Auction
Centre in the world.
This is our effort
to give you an exciting exposure to tea gardens of
Assam, garden factories and the old colonial bungalows inside a
garden and also in other areas. Enjoy a different atmosphere
being in the lap of nature, feel the old world charm and get
back home with an unforgettable experience!
